A few sources indicate that battle.net accounts are seeing a live battle.net balance feature. I’m having a fiddle around myself with my own account to see if I can confirm this but so far I am not able to add PayPal as a payment method (PayPal and Diablo 3) or see a balance of £0.00 anywhere on my battle.net account. This may simply be the difference between US and EU – we often get neglected – or it may be a case of a user getting confused.
In any case if this does prove to be true and tomorrow the feature rolls out in more regions and for more people it’s a good sign that a Diablo III release date announcement may be imminent!
Edit What information I’ve gathered so far seems to refer to balances and payments in USD ($). So far it seems EU haven’t got this but it looks likely that this is confirmed in the US region. All progress is a good sign!
Edit 2 Shortly before this news broke the US Account Management Page had just come back from a period of maintenance:
What this means is, when next the EU page undergoes maintenance we can expect to be able to link our PayPal accounts to our battle.net accounts. If you’re reading this blog and interested in the Diablo 3 RMAH then you’ll already have a PayPal account I hope!
